Yaya Toure’s agent reiterated Manchester City
“won’t even discuss sale” to Inter this summer. Dimitri Seluk had already
commented that a proposed transfer to San Siro was unlikely after meeting with
club owner Sheikh Mansour.
“Yaya is staying – because Sheikh Mansour told him he must
stay,” the representative said in the Sunday Mirror.
“Mansour told Yaya that he is still a very important player
and that he was the first big player to join City after the takeover.
“He told him that City wouldn’t even discuss a sale. This is
a good. People have tried to say that Yaya only wanted more money. It was never
about money. It was only about respect.”
The Ivory Coast international had seemed eager
for a reunion with his old City manager Roberto Mancini.
